The Timeless Sweater - English

NOK 80.00

This pattern is in English.

The Timeless Sweater is an oversized sweater with straight sleeves, half-high neck, and no ribbed edges. The clean look without ribbing ensures the sweater doesn't feel tight anywhere on the body. To knit the sweater, start by casting on for the back piece, which is worked straight down like a rectangle. Then, pick up stitches along the cast-on edge of the back piece to shape the shoulders – these are worked using short rows for a good fit. The shoulder pieces are then joined to form the front piece, which is later joined with the back piece to create the body. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves and worked straight down. The neck is also worked in stockinette stitch. All edges are finished with knit stitches, creating a slight curve that becomes less pronounced after washing and blocking.
